Kanchan Kabra is a well know author and nutritionist. She renders food
consultancy services to various hotels, hospitals and restaurants
and caterers may it be Mexican, Italian, Thai, Gujarati, Rajasthani,
Punjabi and other cuisines.
She is the author of many books to name the few “The Gujarat Cook
Book”, “The Paneer Cookbook”, Low Calorie Cook Book, Simply Soups,
Quick Bites, Cooking For Pregnant Women, Cooking For Toddlers etc.
She won the first prize at an international competition, considered
to be the Oscars awards for cookbook and wine books, called the
“Gourmand World Cookbook Award” As The “Best Single Subject Book In
India” IN 2002 at the festival held at France. Her books are
published by Renowned Publishers UBS publishers there ead office is
in LONDON and regional office is in New Delhi.
Ms.Kabra has done a diploma in Nutrition and Health Education [DNHE]
from besides being a commerce graduate from Gujarat University. She
is also certified in C.O.M [Certificate in Obesity management]. She
was the food consultant with Taj Ummed when the former American
President Mr.Bill Clinton visited post earthquake Gujarat. She
currently provides recipes to corporate companies for their
products’ cookbooks and is being many establish a Diet Advisory
Centre in Ahmedabad. She is a cooking enthusiast, with immense
desire to develop more on innovative cooking and developing new
varieties keeping in mind the nutritional aspects of the same
because she strongly believes that, “Your Health reflects, what you
eat. Currently she is working on ‘Soya-the miracle bean’
Ms. Kabra has surely made a name in a field where not many women
have professionally gone into.
She is at present appointed as the expert on the Femina online panel
for culinary skills and art.
