  • 250 gms maida.
  • 70 gms butter.
  • 40 gms icing sugar.
  • 200 gms mithai mate.
  • 1 tsp baking powder.
  • 1 tsp soda.
  • 50 gms cocoa powder.
  • 300 gms milk.
For Icing
  • 300 gms cream.
  • 200 gms icing sugar.
  • 1 cherry tin (4 batches.)
  • 100 gms dark chocolate.
  • 1 tbsp sugar syrup dissolved in a bowl of water.
  • Mix butter and icing sugar well. Add mithai mate and a little milk. Mix well.
  • Mix the maida, baking powder, soda & cocoa powder well.
  • Add this mixture to the butter and mix well adding all the milk. Make it free of lump.
  • Pour in a well-greased baking tray to which a little maida has been sprinkled.
  • Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180º C for 20 minutes.
  • Cover & keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Unmould & keep aside to cool for 30 minutes.
For Icing
  • Combine well the cream and icing sugar over ice and cold water until it becomes thick.
  • Fill in butter paper cones and decorate the pastry as desired.
