Ingredients:
  • 250 gm almond, soaked overnight in Luke warm water
  • 100 gms ghee
  • 100 gms sugar, or to taste
  • 2 cardamom, powdered
  • Few saffron strands, soaked in 1 tbsp milk

To garnish:
2 tbsp pistachios slivers
Method:
  1. Peel the almonds and grind them coarsely in the mixer grinder.
  2. Heat the ghee. Add the almond and fry stirring continuously till light brown on low flame. It will take 20 minutes approx.
  3. Add 150 gms hot water and stir well on high flame.
  4. Add the sugar and mix well.
  5. Keep on low flame for 5 minutes or until the ghee separates.
  6. Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  7. Serve into individual plates.
  8. Garnish with pistachios slivers and serve hot.
Variations: One can avoid soaking and directly grind the almonds and proceed as above.
